Lacquerware is made of wood and lacquer. Since both of them are refined natural materials, you may have to exercise a little more care in handling them. However, maintenance is easier than you think and definitely worth your while. With proper care and maintenance, they can last many lifetimes.

*How should I wash them?

Please wash by hand. For products like snack containers, tea plates and saucers that normally don’t get as dirty, simply rinse with water without any detergent, and dry them with a soft cloth.

*How should I remove grease stain or oil spot?

Wash with normal dish detergent using a soft cloth or sponge.

*How should I remove food crud stuck to surface?

Soak in water for a few minutes, wash with a soft cloth or sponge, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth.

*How should I store them?

Store in shaded area away from direct sunlight to preserve the natural colouring of the lacquerware.
